Board of Directors Meetings 2012/13

17th February 2013

13th Sept 2013

12th October 2013

The Board are directly accountable and each year the Society will hold an annual general meeting (AGM) at which the directors must provide a report to the members on the performance of the Society, what its future plans and strategies are and also submit themselves for re-election to the board at the end of three years in office.

The Board of Directors key purpose is to ensure the Society's prosperity by collectively directing the Society's affairs, whilst meeting the appropriate interests of it's members. It is important that Board meetings are held periodically so that Directors can discharge their responsibility to control the company's overall situation, strategy and policy, and to monitor the exercise of any delegated authority, and so that individual directors can report on their particular areas of responsibility.

The Field Team consists of a Project Manager, who is responsible to the Board and runs the project work on a day to day basis. The Project Manager  also oversees the work of the Field Officers, whose duties include liasing with the members and ensuring the project work is ongoing. Field Officers are available to help  members further the development of the Pedigree Welsh Pig and are always striving to increase Society membership.
